The #1 Reason People Hire Personal Trainers
Ever wonder what sets successful fitness journeys apart? We asked our incredible clients what makes personal training invaluable to them, and the answer was unanimous: "If I didn't come, I wouldn't do it."
It's the power of accountability that gets you to show up even when the couch is calling your name. It’s the power of accountability that drives you to do one more rep or increase the weight by five more pounds. And it’s accountability that ensures consistency. But most importantly, what clients are noticing is that accountability delivers results. So whether you want to train to get stronger, lose weight, maintain your independence, or even look better, having a component of accountability in your program is key to reaching your goals.
Even as a gym owner and someone who enjoys working out, it’s very difficult to do it on my own all the time. And it’s even harder to push myself! My best workouts involve someone there with me, whether that’s working out alongside me or training me. Yes, you read that right. I get personal training too! "Why do you need one, Rachel? Don’t you know what to do?" Yes, I do. But that doesn’t mean I always do it. I need the accountability at this stage of my life, and that is okay!
Lastly, by working with a trainer who knows your goals, you ensure you are doing the exercises you need to meet them. Sometimes, when we are in charge of our workout plans, we tend to focus more on the exercises we like, which often coincide with the ones that are easier for us. But a good trainer helps you balance those with the exercises you might selectively forget to do.
Accountability can be a significant buzzword. To be honest, it was for me until I realized I needed a trainer myself. But what I found is that accountability is the driving force behind ANY transformative journey. It empowers you to embrace your potential and do more than you ever thought possible. It is the vehicle for consistency and the catalyst for lasting change.
And then some…
Here are some other ways personal trainers provide accountability:
Overcoming Sticking Points: Your trainer serves as a source of encouragement, expertise, and solutions to overcome hurdles that are sometimes challenging to tackle alone.
Celebrating Every Win: Accountability is not just about showing up; it’s also about creating space to celebrate the milestones along the way.
Built-In Support System: Like-minded people share similar values and goals. Your trainer can act as that support system because they share similar aspirations.
